Cherry With Bubinga & Leopardwood Accents

While modestly sized, this meticulously handcrafted jewelry box has ample space for a small collection of jewelry and personal memorabilia.

This box is made from Cherry with legs of Leopardwood. Accents on the top are provided by bands of Bubinga and Leopardwood.

Except for black veneer, no stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.



Body -  Cherry with Leopardwood legs
Top   - Cherry with Leopardwood handle. Bands of Leopardwood, Bubinga and Cherry, separated and defined by strips of Bubinga veneer.


Interior and exterior are finished with Osmo TopOil, an odourless hardwax-oil product. The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing. Interior components (trays, dividers) are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin.

Dimensions (approximate): 

Overall exterior dimensions are about 10.3" x 7.3" x 3.8"  (26.0 x 18.4 x 9.5 cm)

The compartments in the lower level are about 1" (2.5 cm) deep. The inside dimensions of the compartments are about:-
(one) 5.3" x 4.0"   ( 13.3 x 10.2 cm)
(two) 2.5" x 4.0"   ( 6.4 x 10.2 cm)

The removable tray is about 0.8" (1.9 cm) deep.  It has four compartments, each about 2.4" x 1.8" (6.0 x 4.5 cm)


Decorative Leopardwood handle on top.

Tapered Leopardwood legs.

Sides are 3/8 " (9.5  mm) thick Cherry.

Top is made from laminated pieces of Cherry, Bubinga and Leopardwood, about 1/2" (13 mm) thick.



Brass butt hinges.

Lining is a durable faux-suede fabric.

Tray and dividers are made from Cherry
