This companion urn is made from beautifully figured Roasted Curly Maple which has a spectacular undulating chatoyant pattern. Wenge bands and Wenge dowels provide the accents on the top. No stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Interior and exterior are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin. Exterior is further finished with a three-stage wax process, the final stage being carnuba.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 13.4" x 9.6" x 4" (34.0 x 24.4 x 10.2 cm).

Internal dimensions are about 12" x 8" x 3.6" (30.5 x 20.3 x 9.1 cm).

Internal capacity is 345 cubic inches ( 5.7 L).

Access is from bottom which is secured with twelve screws.

Exterior:

Mitred corners reinforced with Wenge keys.

Sides are solid 3/4" (13mm) thick Roasted Curly Maple.

Top is made from solid 3/8" (9.5mm) thick laminated bands of Roasted Curly Maple and Wenge. Wenge dowels are used to create the design in the centre.
