This urn is made from Figured Black Walnut. The accents on the top are provided by diagonal bands of Black Walnut, separated and defined by black veneer.

Except for black veneer, no stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Interior and exterior are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin. Exterior is further finished with a three-stage wax process, the final stage being carnauba.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 12.0" x 9.7" x 3.8" (29.9 x 24.8 x 10.2 cm).

Internal dimensions are about 9.8" x 7.4" x 2.9" (24.1 x 19.1 x 7.6 cm).

Internal capacity is 200 cubic inches ( 3.3 L).

Access is from bottom which is secured with 12 screws.
