This urn is made from Black Walnut The accents on the top are provided by bands of Dark Roasted CulryMaple Maple.

No stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Interior and exterior are finished with Osmo TopOil, an odourless hardwax-oil wood finish.  The resultant finish is smooth, durable, and appealing.

Overall exterior dimensions are about 11.0" x 9.0" x 3.8" (28.0 x 22.9 x 9.5 cm).

Internal dimensions are about 9.5" x 7.5" x 3.1" (24.1 x 19.1 x 7.9 cm).

Internal capacity is 200 cubic inches (3.3 L).

Access is from bottom which is secured with 12 screws.

Exterior:

Mitred corners reinforced with Dark Roasted Maple keys.

Sides are solid 3/4" (19 mm) thick Black Walnut

Top is made from solid 1/8" (3 mm) thick Black Walnut with inlaid accent woods, laminated to 1/4" (6.4 mm) solid core plywood.
