Presentation Cases for Genesis Rare Diamonds |

This turned out to be our first outsourcing job! It was certainly a learning curve.
We were approached by Genesis Rare Diamonds for cases for their investment-grade loose diamonds. They were currenlty using mass-produced cases and were looking for unique and upscale cases for their signature products.
We made a prototype. The design was a hit. But a smaller case was wanted. Three styles were settled upon: two with East Indian Rosewood base and one with Figured Black Walnut base. Genesis chose the wood combinations and designs from Kathy's serving trays, to be scaled down to the size of the presentation case.
Concept and design were set.....but, the required volumes were beyond us. So, we looked for someone local who would do the next prototypes and who could handle the volumes.
A team was formed and a project was born! Peter Steenwyk of Woodchuckers did the woodworking. Jogi Makhani did the screenprinting for the Genesis logo. Kathy, to her surpise, became project manager.
