The interior of this beautiful jewelry chest has ample space for earrings, cuff links, necklaces, bracelets and watches. The one tray has 8 padded inserts, each of which can accommodate two rings, earrings, or cuff links. There are two compartments with handmade pillows for watches or bracelets.

This is truly a one-of-a-kind jewelry chest. The top and sides are live edge Russian Olivewood with shellfish tinted resin running through the centre. A waterfall mitre joint makes that dramatic scene flow seamlessly from the top surface down both sides. Front and back are made from Curly Cherry.

The box sits on a recessed base of Dark Roasted Curly Maple.

No stains or dyes have been used. The rich colours that you see are the natural colours of the finished woods.

Finish:

Interior and exterior are finished with an Osmo micro-porous wood oil. The resultant low-lustre finish is smooth, durable, and appealing. Trays, dividers and supports are finished with Danish Oil, a penetrating resin.

Exterior:

The box sits on a recessed base of Dark Roasted Curly Maple with a recessed finger lift under the drawer. Dark Roasted Curly Maple strips provide the transition from Russian Olivewood to Cherry along the top and sides of the box. Sides and top are solid 1/2" (13 mm) thick Russian Olivewood. Front and back are solid 1/2" (13 mm) Curly Cherry.

 

Interior:

Nickel-plated brass quadrant hinges.

Drawer sides, trays and dividers are solid Cherry

Interior is lined with luxurious velveteen woven fabric. Padded inserts and pillows are covered in the same material.
