About This Game
It is a two-player abstract strategy game dreamed up by Pat Rothfuss in "The Wise Man's Fear" and made reality by James Ernest. Players attempt to make a road of their pieces connecting two opposite sides of the board.

About These Game Sets
They were actually born from a request for custom work. It was not something in our repertoire; but, it was different and intriguing. Too much planning and setup do to just one.....so I did a limited run of eight to keep unit cost down.
The boards were made from solid domestic and exotic hardwoods. The 10" x 10" centre was 3/8" thick Curly Maple, bordered by 1/2" wide accent wood. The grid was made from inlays of 1/8" wide accent wood. That makes the basic 5 x 5 game board. The board is made a hybrid 6 x 6 by inserting wood dowels at each intersection.
The bottom edges of the board were concaved to give a floating effect, and to provide a discrete finger lift. The overall look was both elegant and thin.
A complete set of 'stones' and 'capstones' made from domestic and exotic hardwoods was inlcuded.
